Rafael Nadal and Nicolas Escude have both been forced to withdraw from Wimbledon.
The pair have decided against making the trip to SW19 due to injury and join French Open Gaston Gaudio and Brazilian Gustavo Keurten in pulling out from the third major of the season.
Spanish teenager Nadal has been told by doctors not to play at the grasscourt event after only just recovering from a broken bone in his foot.
The 18-year-old was due to face American Jeff Salzenstein in the opening round of the tournament and could well have been up against No.2 seed Andy Roddick had he won through to round two.
Frenchman Escude has decided to pull out because of a shoulder injury.
