Rafael Nadal will be able to carry out one of his dreams: to participate in the Olympics. Yesterday it became a reality with the confirmation of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) which offered him a special invitation (wild card) to attend Athens 2004. In addition, the Manacor� youth will have the honor of playing in the doubles competition with the Majorcan, Carlos Moy�. For the first time, two Majorcans will share the tennis court in the Olympics. However, it will not be the first time that they play together: they already did it last year in the Swedish tournament of Baastad, in which they won their first match and then fell in the second round.

Yesterday Nadal expressed his satisfaction of being able to go to Athens. "It gives me great pleasure to play in the Olympics, and more since it�s with a fellow Majorcan", admitted the Manacor�, who anticipates his return to the courts to be next Saturday in the tournament of Santa Pon�a. "We have many chances to win a medal, because the best/main doubles players do not tend to go to the Olympic Games", explained Nadal, who was injured on April 16 (in the quarterfinals of Estoril) and who will return to the ATP circuit on the clay courts of Baastad (Sweden).

The ITF also confirmed that Arantxa S�nchez Vicario will play in his fifth Olympics. In Athens, Spain will have Carlos Moy�, Rafeal Nadal, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Tommy Robredo, Feliciano L�pez, Conchita Mart�nez, Mag�i Serna, Anabel Medina, Arantxa S�nchez Vicario and Mar�a Antonia S�nchez Lorenzo.
