Set 1: Rafael Nadal 6-1

Youzhny was hitting many bad unforced errors. Nadal served first and won easy, but the next game broke Youzhny which was a huge leap. After that Rafael held and broke again he was up 4-0. Nadal held one more time putting pressure on Mikhail to come back. With Nadal up 5-0 Youzhny finally held making it 5-1. Nadal easily held to take the set 6-1.

Set 2: Youzhny 6-4

In the second Youzhny came out firing making an all important hold in the first game. Nadal fired back with a hold of his own. At 3-2 Youzhny, Mikhail broke Rafael to make it 4-2. After another hold, Rafael was down 2-5. After a few set points Nadal finally held to make it 5-3. Nadal fired back with a break to make it 5-4. In the next game Rafael was up 40-15 and dropped the game at duece handing the Youzhny a 6-4 second set victory.

Set 3: Youzhny 6-4

Youzhny won the first game with a hold and Nadal fired back with his own. Tied 1-1 Nadal had a chance for break but could not convert. Youzhny kept getting the advantage but couldnt finish. In the end Youzhny held at tough game and went up 2-1. In the next game Rafael got a hold to make it 2-2.Youzhny went up 40-0 in the next game and never looked back. Youzhny leads 3-2.Youzhny had a break point but Nadal fought back to hold. In the next game Youzhny held to make it 4-3 Youzhny. At 40-30 in the next game Nadal held to make 4-4. Nadal failed to break in the next game so Youzhny is up 5-4. Youzhny had a break point at 40-15 to take the set and converted. Youzhny wins 6-4.

Set 4: Nadal 7-5

Youzhny came out with a strong hold in the second set and won at love. Youzhny leads 1-0. Youzhny broke at love in the second game. This could be a key part of the match, Youzhny leads 2-0.Nadal broke right back to make it 2-1.Youzhny got hurt at this point and called the trainer. Once they got going Rafael held for 2-2. Youzhny was able to fight off pain to hold to make it 3-2.Youzhny was up 40-15 in on Rafael's serve but lost two in a row to make it duece.In the end Rafael held to make it 3-3.Nadal came up big and broke Youzhny to make it 4-3 on serve.After a few break points Nadal lost the game and then Youzhny held. Youzhny leads 5-4 with Nadal on serve.Nadal holds even though being down set point. Then Nadal got a few breaks from the netcord and broke Youzhny serving for the set now up 6-5. Nadal held at love for a fifth set winning 7-5.

Set 5: Nadal 6-3

Rafael opens up the fifth set with a huge break at duece. 1-0 Nadal. In the next game he held and is up 2-0. Huge angles got Nadal another huge beak to go up 3-0. Some inconsistant play give Nadal a hold for 4-0. Youzhny holds to get himself in a better position at 4-1. Nadal to serve. Nadal was broken and Youznhy to serve at 4-2. Youznhy holds easily to make it 4-3 Nadal. Nadal now needs to hold serve. Rafael held easily and broke in the final game to win the match.
