WHAT THE PLAYERS SAID:
Nadal:"The last time I played against Agustin [Calleri] was last year in Indian Wells. I lost 7-6 in the third. Playing against Agustin in the first round here in Buenos Aires I thought was bad luck."
"I came here, playing well and I went into the match with a lot of confidence. In the first set, he served unbelievable, acing almost twice per game. I kept my concentration and was able to win in the end."
"I played against Potito [Starace] a long time ago, in a much smaller tournament. He's been showing he is a great player and with no doubt it will be difficult."
Moya: "Being a first match, I am happy. First matches are always a little bit complicated. I had many opportunities that I couldn't convert but I kept going and it went well in the end."
On Juan Monaco: "I saw a couple of games from Juan [Monaco] yesterday. He is a solid player with a strong backhand that is rising quickly. I haven't been playing great tennis lately, today I was feeling much better and I am looking forward to the next match."
Chela: "It wasn't a good day for me, It was my first clay court match in a long time. I was playing well on hard and the switch to clay has been difficult for me. Today, the conditions were very humid, I was feeling heavy out there, but as the match went, I started feeling better physically."
"I think I played too short today , he was in control all the time. I had my chances in the first set but in the second, I couldn't do anything."
